DR GLYN STOCKTON
he/him MBChB MRCGP
After studying to become an orthopaedic surgeon I had a change of career path, deciding that General Practice was for me! I worked in various GP practices in the Manchester area and was then, along with Dr Thompson, given the opportunity to take over an existing practice in Middleton, which we then re-located to the Boarshaw area. As a partner I am tasked with ensuring that the practice is providing a high standard of care to the population we serve, both clinically and professionally. I have a keen interest in minor surgery and orthopaedics and am able to perform various procedures to ensure our patients can be given the choice of being seen at the surgery rather than at the hospital for their procedures.
DR LOUISE THOMPSON
she/her MBChB MRCGP DRCOG
I qualified as a GP in 2002 and worked in various GP practices before getting the opportunity to take over an existing practice with Dr Stockton which we then relocated to the Boarshaw area in December 2008. As a partner I am responsible for ensuring that the practice achieves high standards in clinical care and maintains a high level of professional service at all times. My clinical interests include women’s and children’s health and I have recently completed my diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and hope to increase services the practice offers in this area. I love being a G.P. as I find all areas of medicine interesting but have a particular interest in obesity and weight management.
DR DANIELLE PEET
she/her MBBS DRCOG DFSRH MRCGP
I’m a Stockport girl who had the pleasure of going to medical school in Newcastle upon Tyne. I qualified in 2010 and I started work as a medical journalist in 2007. I have been Deputy Editor for the Royal College Of General Practitioners Journal ‘innovAit’ for GP trainees and currently edit the Oxford Handbook of General Practice which helps me keep up to date. I enjoy being a generalist and seeing patients as a whole person instead of a list of conditions and so remain interested in everything and anything. I’m the safeguarding lead for the practice and have an interest in supporting struggling families. If you ever see someone messing around in the surgery garden, it is not a live gnome but me indulging in one of my many hobbies

Practice Management
VICTORIA BUCKLAND
she/her Practice Manager MIGPM
I have been working at the practice since it opened in December 2008 following 15 months of previous general practice workforce positions and before that a background in jewellery retail and production for which I completed a diploma. Over the course of my employment at the practice I have had the opportunity to progress to the Practice Manager. Along with the years of experience gained, I have also completed a number of qualifications including ILM Level 5 Management. My role is varied and no day is ever the same but this is what I love about the job.
LUKE BOLLINGTON
he/him Practice Support Leader
Hi, I’m Luke. I started at The Hive GP back in 2021 as a receptionist and now work as the Practice Support Leader and Personal Assistant to the Practice Manager. Over the years, I’ve got to know how things work both on the front desk and behind the scenes, and I help support the day-to-day running of the practice. Day to day, I help manage the running of the practice, support the team, and assist the Practice Manager with keeping everything on track. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me binge-watching a good series (Stranger Things), diving into anything horror-related, but never… attempting to cook — though I’ll be the first to admit I’m pretty rubbish at it. Luckily, cooking isn’t part of my job (unless you count heating up leftovers in the staff microwave — which, apparently, I still manage to get wrong... just ask the team!).
Nurse
ALEXANDRA S
she/her
I started working at The Hive back in 2023. Prior to this I worked as a district nurse in the Bradford and Halifax area, before I took the plunge and moved to Manchester! As much as I loved being a district nurse, becoming a general practice nurse felt like a natural next step for me and I have not looked back since. We are a great team at The Hive and I feel we make a positive impact within the Middleton area.

I have fifteen years experience between retail and administration roles. In my spare time I like to spend it with my family and friends and attend my weekly dance and aerial skills classes. FIONA W
she/her
Originally from Bolton, I moved to Middleton 19 years ago and have since raised my three children here. I've always enjoyed being involved in the local community, from joining the school PTA to volunteering as a breastfeeding peer support for the NHS. I started working at the Hive at the start of August 2023 after being an unpaid carer to two of my children for seven years, I knew I wanted to go back into the workplace where I could make a difference to my community, and I really feel like I achieve this here. During my spare time I enjoy being outside with my children and dog and I'm also a big Sci fi geek, whether that's films, TV shows or comic books.
LEANNE S
she/her
Hi, I'm Leanne. I've worked at The Hive for almost a decade doing various roles, I currently help support our GPs to ensure that patients have correct up-to-date monitoring. In my downtime, you can find me planning my next adventure—I love to travel, even if flying isn't my favorite part of the journey!
GRACE B
she/her
I’m currently working as an apprentice at The Hive, where I’ve been gaining hands-on experience since September 2024. My role involves taking calls, managing patient queries, and supporting the day-to-day running of the front desk and behind the scenes. During my time working at The Hive so far, I have enjoyed expanding my communication skills, working as part of a team and helping our patients with any queries they have. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, playing with my dog, Winnie, and listening to music, especially Harry Styles!
SYED Z

I enjoy being part of a team that makes a real difference in the community. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and spending time with loved ones. I also enjoy the odd DIY job to keep myself busy!
