DR GLYN STOCKTON

he/him MBChB MRCGP

After studying to become an orthopaedic surgeon I had a change of career path, deciding that General Practice was for me! I worked in various GP practices in the Manchester area and was then, along with Dr Thompson, given the opportunity to take over an existing practice in Middleton, which we then re-located to the Boarshaw area. As a partner I am tasked with ensuring that the practice is providing a high standard of care to the population we serve, both clinically and professionally. I have a keen interest in minor surgery and orthopaedics and am able to perform various procedures to ensure our patients can be given the choice of being seen at the surgery rather than at the hospital for their procedures.

DR LOUISE THOMPSON

she/her MBChB MRCGP DRCOG

I qualified as a GP in 2002 and worked in various GP practices before getting the opportunity to take over an existing practice with Dr Stockton which we then relocated to the Boarshaw area in December 2008. As a partner I am responsible for ensuring that the practice achieves high standards in clinical care and maintains a high level of professional service at all times. My clinical interests include women’s and children’s health and I have recently completed my diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and hope to increase services the practice offers in this area. I love being a G.P. as I find all areas of medicine interesting but have a particular interest in obesity and weight management.

DR DANIELLE PEET

she/her MBBS DRCOG DFSRH MRCGP

I’m a Stockport girl who had the pleasure of going to medical school in Newcastle upon Tyne. I qualified in 2010 and I started work as a medical journalist in 2007. I have been Deputy Editor for the Royal College Of General Practitioners Journal ‘innovAit’ for GP trainees and currently edit the Oxford Handbook of General Practice which helps me keep up to date. I enjoy being a generalist and seeing patients as a whole person instead of a list of conditions and so remain interested in everything and anything. I’m the safeguarding lead for the practice and have an interest in supporting struggling families. If you ever see someone messing around in the surgery garden, it is not a live gnome but me indulging in one of my many hobbies

Practice Management

VICTORIA BUCKLAND

she/her Practice Manager MIGPM

I have been working at the practice since it opened in December 2008 following 15 months of previous general practice workforce positions and before that a background in jewellery retail and production for which I completed a diploma. Over the course of my employment at the practice I have had the opportunity to progress to the Practice Manager. Along with the years of experience gained, I have also completed a number of qualifications including ILM Level 5 Management. My role is varied and no day is ever the same but this is what I love about the job.

KATE L

she/her

I joined the practice as a patient and I am now part of the team, working as part of the support team. I enjoy my position; I like to assess people needs and direct them to the right care they require aka booking appointments .etc... I have fifteen years experience between retail and administration roles. In my spare time I like to spend it with my family and friends and attend my weekly dance and aerial skills classes. I also like travelling and planning my next trip aboard!

FIONA W

she/her

Originally from Bolton, I moved to Middleton 19 years ago and have since raised my three children here. I've always enjoyed being involved in the local community, from joining the school PTA to volunteering as a breastfeeding peer support for the NHS. I started working at the Hive at the start of August 2023 after being an unpaid carer to two of my children for seven years, I knew I wanted to go back into the workplace where I could make a difference to my community, and I really feel like I achieve this here. During my spare time I enjoy being outside with my children and dog and I'm also a big Sci fi geek, whether that's films, TV shows or comic books.

SIOBHAN M

she/her

My name is Siobhan, and I joined the team in 2017. After taking time out to raise three children, I made the leap and returned to work, joining this fantastic family run GP’s practice. I now call Manchester my home after being here since attending Manchester Metropolitan University in 2001. However you can recognise my voice when calling the surgery with me being the only ‘Brummie’ in the building. My free time is spent making weddings as a freelance florist, but mostly you can find me running around after the kids!

LEANNE S

she/her

I have worked at this GP practice since January 2016 and my duties are currently supporting the office team and assisting with the Minor Surgery clinics Dr Stockton runs at the Practice.I have been working in a clinical setting for many years and enjoy the team camaraderie and the relationships with both staff and patients.Out of work, I enjoy getting out with my children and my dog, Fleur. I also like to keep fit and to socialise.

EMILIE T

she/her

I have been working at the practice since joining as an apprenctice in 2016. I completed my apprenticeship in 2018, gaining an NVQ in Business Management in the process. My role at the surgery was initially solely as a Support Team member. However, I have since trained to be a Health Care Assistant (HCA) and now combine these two roles. The latter role involves me performing blood tests, blood pressure checks and diabetic reviews. I have previously worked in social care, education and animal management. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and pet dogs.
